Larry Ward, 20, was arrested in Tennessee after having been accused of raping an 11-year-old girl who was on her way to school.
At about 7 AM, Ward hit the girl with his car.
The girl says that when he got out of the car, Ward assaulted her.
The monster just put her into his truck and raped her right there in the open.
Later, Cameron Fifer was on his way to work when he found the victim on the side of the road.
Fifer stopped his car and asked the young girl what had happened.
She reportedly told him that she had been raped by a man driving a blue truck.
One parent from the area said that the community is like a family and that they had never had any problems like this before.
The incident even affected the police in Memphis.
Memphis Police Department Director Mike Rallings stated that he was emotionally disturbed to learn of the rape.
Rallings said he was glad that the police had been able to arrest the man responsible and give the family a little piece.
In an interview with the local news, Rallings encouraged adults to walk with their children.
He also suggested that young children walk in groups and that they should pay close attention to their surroundings.
Ward has a past criminal record, he was arrested for burglary in 2015 and earlier in 2016, he had been arrested for driving with a suspended license.
Stay safe out there.
