A 23-year-old is charged with manslaughter for allegedly setting fire to gas and murdering a teen in North Texas

The Jacksboro Police Department has indicted an individual they suspect of being the cause of the death of a 17-year-old in manslaughter.

Madison Lewis was present at a gathering on December 16 when Sebastian Lindsey, 23, allegedly poured gasoline into a fire near which she was positioned, according to the police.

The flammable hair and apparel of Lewis consumed more than ninety percent of the adolescent. Sunday marked her passing at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, following multiple operations.

Lewis was reportedly transported to the hospital by investigators, as opposed to 9-1-1 being dialed, due to concerns expressed by attendees at the party regarding potential consequences stemming from the presence of alcoholic beverages.

“I appreciate your ongoing prayers.” “My sole concern is laying to rest my infant daughter,” Ericca Hammond, Madison’s mother, said in a statement on Monday.
