An investigation into a homicide has been opened following a gunshot that occurred on Christmas Day in Dallas, which resulted in the death of one individual and the arrest of another.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday, officers from the Dallas Police Department got a call about a shooting that had occurred in the 2700 block of Lenway Street, as stated by the department.
When the police arrived at the scene, they discovered a person who had been shot and was recovering from their injuries. In an attempt to provide assistance to the sufferer, emergency professionals from the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department arrived at the scene; nevertheless, the individual ultimately passed away.
The Dallas Police Department has confirmed that they have taken into custody a person in relation with the shooting. According to the authorities, they did not disclose any information regarding the name of either the victim or the suspect.
