A suspect in the murder of McComb was recently taken into custody in Dallas.
As of January 10, Chauncey Dyson, who is 46 years old, was taken into custody by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dallas Police Department. He was then transported to the McComb Police Department for processing.
Dyson was wanted in connection with the murder of Shawn Williams III, who was killed on November 19, 2023, according to the Chief of Police of McComb, Juan Cloy.
There was no information provided on the arrest.
