After an incident on Interstate 30 near Dallas, a pregnant mother passed away; her baby survived the accident but is in serious condition

According to the findings of the investigation, a pregnant woman passed away after the vehicle she was riding in became stuck on Interstate 30. She was then struck by a vehicle operated by a Dallas police officer who was off duty early on Saturday morning. However, her kid is in a severe state despite having survived.

Accident took place shortly after 2:30 in the morning.

A Chevrolet Malibu was reported to have become stuck in the middle lane of Interstate 30 close to 2nd Avenue, as reported by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the investigators, the Malibu was hit by a Jeep Wrangler that was driven by a Dallas police officer who was not on duty at the time.

According to the sheriff’s office, a pregnant woman who was in the Malibu was sent to a hospital in critical condition after being found in the vehicle.

The death of the woman was later confirmed. According to the sheriff’s office, in spite of the fact that her kid survived, it is currently in serious condition. The identity of the woman has not been disclosed as of yet.

Despite the fact that there were two additional persons in the Malibu, their conditions have not been disclosed.

After receiving medical treatment at the hospital, the cop who was not on duty was discharged.

In order to allow crews to conduct their investigation, a section of the freeway was closed until just before six in the morning.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation, but they have not disclosed any additional information at this time.
