A carjacking incident in Dallas resulted in the shooting of a man, who is currently recovering in the hospital. The incident took place the day after Christmas, according to his wife, and their children were present to witness it from the comfort of their own house. Due to the fact that the assailant who was responsible for putting her husband in the hospital was still at large, LaTasha did not wish to reveal her identity or reveal her last name.
It was the day after Christmas when Christopher, LaTasha’s husband, drove her back to their apartment in Dallas, which was located off of Bickers Street. He had dropped her off at her place of employment. What followed was filmed by a home surveillance camera that they had set outside of the apartment for surveillance purposes.
A man can be seen approaching the side of the vehicle that is occupied by the driver. Following that, he instructs Christopher to exit the building while firing a shot through the glass. NBC 5 was informed by LaTasha that their four small children were observing the event from the window.
“When he pulled up, they were aware of it,” she stated. “They are always so excited, as if they are saying, ‘daddy’s home!'” I am also astonished that they did not run out of it. They would have been the ones to do that if they had run out.
According to the Dallas Police Department, they arrived at the scene at approximately eleven in the morning. The assailant had already fled with the vehicle by the time the officers got on the scene. Christopher was taken to the hospital, where he was thankfully found to be alive but suffering from severe injuries.
“He has had four surgical procedures. To put it simply, at this time, all we can do is pray for the best. However, he is unable to walk. Despite the fact that he is speaking, he is terrified for our family, just like I am,” LaTasha added.
It was reported by her that the man fled with their primary mode of transportation as well as their Christmas presents. In most cases, he has taken away their sense of calm and tranquility. LaTasha stated that her family has been harassed in the past by an unknown individual, and she believes that this incident may have a connection to the history of harassment. Nevertheless, she is unable to conceive of any reason why anyone would wish to cause them harm.
