After the series, Selena Gomez claims she avoided her “Wizards of Waverly Place” cast members out of shame

The way Selena Gomez’s relationships with her “Wizards of Waverly Place” co-stars developed after the Disney Channel series ended is something she regrets. The multihyphenate revisited her time as Alex Russo with her former co-stars Jennifer Stone (who played Harper Finkle) and David DeLuise (who played Gomez’s character’s father, Jerry Russo), in the fourth episode of the “Wizards of Waverly Pod” on February 27. Gomez portrayed a wizard in training with her siblings in New York City while appearing to be zoomed in from a recording studio.

Selena Gomez regrets how her friendships with her “Wizards of Waverly Place” co-stars changed once the Disney Channel series came to an end. In the fourth episode of the “Wizards of Waverly Pod,” which aired on February 27, the multihyphenate discussed her time as Alex Russo with her old co-stars Jennifer Stone, who played Harper Finkle, and David DeLuise, who played her character’s father, Jerry Russo. Gomez appeared to be zooming in from a recording studio as she acted as a wizard in training with her brothers in New York City.

Gomez has been openly honest about her battles with lupus and bipolar disorder, both of which have been accompanied by melancholy and anxiety. Stone and DeLuise responded favorably when they heard of Gomez’s regret. “To be quite honest, there have been occasions when I’ve wondered, “Did we stop being friends because I didn’t tell her what she wanted to hear? You understand what I mean? I therefore appreciate your candor “said Stone.

Gomez praised Martin Short and Steve Martin during the podcast as she discussed filming “Only Murders in the Building” with them in New York City. Working with Steve and Marty is so amazing, she said. They are wonderful, smart, and brilliant.
