The Oscar-winning stars of Everything Everywhere All at Once made the most of their big night out for Hollywood’s most anticipated awards show. Jamie Lee Curtis and Michelle Yeoh, who won best supporting actress and best actress at the 2023 Oscars, respectively, were seen being as empathetic as ever throughout the ceremony and were photographed hugging during each other’s and the movie’s wins.
In the end, the multiverse movie won seven Oscars. They were also captured holding hands backstage after each of their individual triumphs before posing for pictures holding their awards. The adorable photos are the culmination of Curtis and Yeoh’s adorable BFF moments throughout this award season.
Yeoh plays Evelyn in “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” which won best picture. Evelyn’s quest to resolve differences with the IRS (through Curtis’s Deidre) takes her through multiple universes and puts her in danger. For his roles as Waymond and Alpha Waymond in the movie, their co-star Ke Huy Quan was also named best supporting actor. They were all initial nominees.
The dynamic duo has never been secretive about their love for one another, and Curtis has even given Yeoh credit for her Oscar nomination. “Michelle Yeoh is the reason that for the rest of my life, you will say, “Oscar-nominated actress Jamie Lee Curtis,” “the actor said in a February interview with Variety.” She stated that Curtis’ award was for every member of the cast and crew, and thanked Yeoh, Quan, and fellow best supporting actress Stephanie Hsu, who plays Joy. Yeoh also thanked her costars and the crew when she won.
Curtis was in attendance at the event with her husband, actor and director Christopher Guest. Yeoh brought along her long-time partner, Jean Todt.
