Fisherman Dave Johnson encounters a giant crocodile while fishing in a remote swamp in Florida. Contrary to his expectations, the crocodile does not attack him but instead leads him deeper into the swamp. Dave follows the crocodile, unsure of what to make of the situation, and is eventually brought to a small lake where he discovers the crocodile’s true intention: it needs his help.
Dave realizes that the crocodile had been protecting a secluded fishing spot that Dave had been using, and the animal’s wife and offspring were nearby. Dave had unknowingly been intruding on their territory, and the crocodile was trying to warn him away. The situation makes Dave reflect on his wife’s concerns about the crocodile sightings in the area and the risks he takes while fishing alone.
fisherman Dave finds himself face to face with an aggressive crocodile. Unable to pass by without touching it, Dave freezes when the crocodile growls, unsure of its intentions. Trying to communicate with the animal, Dave cautiously extends his hand, and to his surprise, the crocodile seems pleased.
The animal then leads Dave to an injured baby crocodile, which he takes to a vet to be nursed back to health. The mother crocodile, grateful for Dave’s help, allows him to return the baby to her. Throughout the encounter, Dave is unsure if the crocodile was raised by people or if it had some other motive for leading him to the injured baby.
