HBO Max will no longer be called “Max” as of May 23

Wondering what the new name of the combined HBO Max and Discovery+ will be? It’s fairly easy. Max. The service will still feature all of the beloved HBO Max material, but it will also now feature all of Discovery+’s content.

This entails more cooking shows, true crime television shows, and many other things.

Most importantly, the cost is staying the same. That’s not to say it won’t ever change, but as of now, your current payment won’t go up on May 23 when these changes go into effect. The pricing breakdown is provided below.

Maximum price
2 concurrent streams, 1080p resolution, no offline downloads, 5.1 surround sound, Max Ad-Lite | $9.99/month or $99.99/year
Max Ad-Free | 2 concurrent streams, 1080p resolution | $15.99/month or $149.99/year thirty offline downloads with 5.1 surround sound ad-free Max Ultimate for $19.99 per month or $199.99 per year

100 offline downloads, up to 4K UHD resolution, four simultaneous streams, and Dolby Atmos audio
Current HBO Max users will continue to have access to their current plan’s features for at least six months after launch, according to Warner Bros Discovery.

The profiles, preferences, viewing history, ‘Continue Watching,’ and ‘My List’ items of HBO Max customers will also be transferred over, allowing them to resume streaming where they left off.
