At the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night, the 13th annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards winners were announced.
For Elvis, Anton Monsted received the best music supervision award for a movie with a budget over $25 million, while Lauren Marie Mikus and Bruce Gilbert received the honor for Everything Everywhere All at Once for a movie with a budget of $25 million or less. With “This Is A Life,” the latter movie also took home the award for best song written for a motion picture. For his efforts on Cha Cha Real Smooth and Do Vengeance, Rob Lowry won two prizes.On the television side, Stranger Things’ fourth season received best music supervision for a television drama, while Insecure’s fifth season won best comedy/musical, both for Kier Lehman. Sixth season of Better Call Saul’s “Perfect Day” won best song composed or produced for TV.
Paul Williams got the Icon Award at the presentation to recognize his achievements to the music and cinema industries, and Pilar McCurry received the Legacy Award posthumously.

The truth is that while these awards from yesterday night highlight the best in the business, the guild consistently recognizes its members’ excellent work in their many professions.The Guild of Music Supervisors was founded in 2010 to promote the craft of music supervision.
