Lead in a bawdy comedy is a new position that Jennifer Lawrence is attempting, and it appears to fit her perfectly. Lawrence plays the down-on-her-luck Uber driver Maddie in “No Bad Feelings,” who accepts a job helping a socially awkward 19-year-old before he leaves for college after learning she may lose her home.
In the 9 March trailer, she attempts everything from skinny dipping to Long Island iced teas in order to entice him in accordance with his weird parental desire, only to discover that he could also have some things to teach her about romance.
Lawrence, 32, is in the midst of a career comeback; in 2021’s “Don’t Look Up” and 2022’s “Causeway,” he will play the lead roles.
She was also supposed to star in “Bad Blood,” a movie about fallen tech mogul Elizabeth Holmes, but backed out of the role after seeing Amanda Seyfried’s expert portrayal of Holmes in Hulu’s “The Dropout.” Lawrence has plenty on her plate as is, having just welcomed her first child, Cy, in April 2022.

“No Hard Feelings” Plot
“No Hard Feelings” follows Uber driver Maddie who, after losing her car and nearly her house, accepts a Craigslist ad posted by helicopter parents who want their son to have some experience with romance before going to college. She tries her best to seduce Percy, but it proves to be more of a challenge than she anticipated — he pepper sprays her on their first date, and things only escalate from there. It seems like she manages to corrupt him a bit by the end, though, as he’s downing glasses of wine at dinner with his parents in the last frames of the trailer.
