Jennifer Lopez is sexy and self-deprecating as a bride in new ‘Can’t Get Enough’ video

Jennifer Lopez is prepared to reclaim her position as a musician.

A new single and accompanying effervescent video titled “Can’t Get Enough,” which the singer-actress released on Wednesday, brought fans one step closer to the release of her first album in nearly a decade.

In the opulent music video, Lopez offers a self-deprecating examination of her four marriages; Ben Affleck is her current spouse. After reciting her vows, she dances with three grooms, including the equally dexterous Derek Hough, at the reception while wedding guests wager on the longevity of the unions and dismiss catty individuals. One guest mutters, “Don’t catch it, it’s cursed,” as the bridal bouquet is being flung.

The Dave Meyers-directed pink-hued film concludes on a somber note, with a shot of Jennifer Lopez seated in a therapist’s office while male voices converse in her head in a chorus, hurling insults like “Work is all she cares about” and “You will never have enough.” At the conclusion of the video is the teaser “to be continued…”

The upbeat composition, in which Lopez performs in her upper register, incorporates a sample from Alton Ellis’ “Still in Love,” a 1967 hit. Additionally, the lyrics incorporate an interpolation of Marcia Aitken’s “I’m Still in Love (With You Boy)” from a decade later.
