Law enforcement officials in Dallas, Texas have stated that they are conducting a search for a boy who is 17 years old and is wanted for the suspected murder of a high school student who gave birth just three weeks ago. The alleged murder occurred over the weekend.

Ikea Imari Hood, who was 17 years old at the time of her death, was reportedly shot and died on Sunday morning in the southeast neighborhood of Oak Cliff, according to FOX 4 in Dallas.

Hood gave birth three weeks ago, according to information obtained by the station from sources known to be close to the family.

According to the Dallas Police Department, police responded to reports of a shooting in the 700 block of Grambling Drive at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Sunday.

It was discovered by the investigators that Hood had been shot by a suspect who had fled the area.

First responders provided medical care to Hood, who was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.

After conducting more investigations, the police announced on Monday that Trevon Darnell Wright, who is 17 years old, was identified as the suspect. They also stated that a warrant for Wright’s arrest had been issued on the accusation of murder.
