Kevin Spacey describes his experience following a medical emergency.
On October 2, the former House of Cards star revealed he was hurried to the hospital after “going numb in one arm” while touring the Afrasiyab Museum in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
After his release, Spacey addressed the audience at the Tashkent International Film Festival, describing the health scare and noting that “everything turned out to be completely normal.”
In a video obtained by TMZ on October 4, he stated, “Of course, I’m thankful it’s nothing more serious.” “However, it also caused me to pause and consider how fragile life is for everyone.”
E! News has sought out to Spacey’s representatives for comment but has not received a response.
A little over two months have passed since Spacey’s most recent legal battle came to a close.
Late in July, a British court acquitted the Oscar winner of nine offenses, including seven counts of sexual assault, one count of forcing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, and one count of forcing a person to engage in penetrating sexual activity.
The American Beauty actor’s charges, which he had previously pled not guilty to, were the result of allegations from four men who accused Spacey of assault between 2004 to 2013, when he was of artistic director of the Old Vic Theatre in London. In 2015, he resigned from the position.
According to Variety, the 64-year-old was initially charged with 12 charges of sexual misconduct, but the number of counts was reduced due to a technicality in the case.
Following the verdict, Spacey addressed the media outside the courtroom.
In a video obtained by NBC News, he said, “I’m sure many of you can understand that there’s a lot for me to process after what happened today.” “I would like to express my gratitude to the jury for taking the time to carefully consider all of the evidence and facts prior to reaching their verdict, and I am humbled by today’s verdict.”
