As if we needed further evidence of just how remarkable dogs are, a lost pup demonstrated its loyalty and devotion by waiting in the same spot for four years until it was reunited with its owners. Truly, there is no denying that our canine companions are too good and pure for this world.
After Anuchit Uncharoen, a local of Thailand noticed the shaggy pup abandoned on the side of Mueang District’s road, his pictures were circulated all over the internet. The sad dog seemingly strayed from its home and was in dire need of help.
While passing by, Anuchit noticed an individual come to provide sustenance for a dog. After inquiring about the animal, he learned that Leo – as it had been called by those in the area – was present at this same place for four years!
Saowalak Pinnuchawet, a compassionate woman who noticed Leo’s suffering from a skin condition and malnourishment due to living on the streets, attempted to bring him home with her. According to Dog Thailand and Asia One reports, this was an act of tremendous kindness that started Leo down his path toward recovery.
After only a few days, he bravely escaped from her house and ran back to the side of the road. Instead of restraining him with force, Pinnuchawet opted for an act of kindness by bringing food directly to him.
Leo’s captivating story quickly went viral online and, unbelievably, a family reached out to the original poster claiming that he resembled BonBon – an animal they had lost four years prior.
When the lost pup’s owner, Noi, realized that their four-legged companion had vanished from their car after a pitstop at a petrol station while on vacation visiting relatives, they were completely distraught. The bereaved family frantically looked around all of the nearby streets for any sign of him but unfortunately had no luck in finding him.
They were ecstatic to find out that their cherished pet had been patiently waiting for them all this time, and last month they left on a journey of reunion with BonBon.
After an extensive wait, the devoted pup was finally reunited with his family. His tail wagged in joy as he saw them arrive at their destination, however, puzzlingly enough he didn’t go along with Noi. It seemed like during his long vigil by the roadside; this loyal pooch had grown fond of its new surroundings!
After an in-depth discussion, Noi and Pinnuchawet concluded that it might be best if the former took care of BonBon while the latter made occasional visits to help out.
Before being welcomed into his new home, BonBon underwent a thorough vet check-up. We can only hope that he’ll feel right at home this time!
