According to his press office, Alexander Lukashenko, the self-declared leader of Belarus, will pay a “state visit” to China from February 28 to March 2.
The statement states that the emphasis will be on the growth of trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian cooperation, the implementation of cooperative large-scale projects, contact in the political domain, and reacting to the most pressing challenges in the current world situation.
According to Minsk authorities, narrow and enlarged formats of negotiations between Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping will take place. A significant number of documents pertaining to the advancement of relations in important areas will be signed.
Moreover, Lukashenko will have many talks with other top PRC leaders.
Lukashenka traveled to Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates last month.
