Paul Cattermole, a founding member of S Club 7, passed away on April 7 at the age of 46, the band announced on social media. The announcement was released shortly after the band’s forthcoming reunion tour was made public by Cattermole in February.
“The loss of our brother Paul has left us in a terrible position. No words can adequately express the profound pain and loss we all experience. We are grateful for the incredible memories we have with him because we were so lucky to have him in our lives “stated S Club 7 in a tweet. “We all miss him terribly and shall miss him very much. Please respect his family’s and the band’s right to privacy at this time.”

The ’90s-’00s pop trio that was responsible for classic songs like ‘S Club Party’ and ‘Don’t Stop Movin’ announced this year that they would be embarking on a tour of the UK and Ireland. There were plans for Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, Bradley McIntosh, Jon Lee, and Cattermole to all make a comeback to the stage. As the group reunited in February, they stated: “To commemorate S Club 7’s 25th anniversary, we’re thrilled to bring the S Club Party back to our fans across the nation. Even now, it seems unimaginably lengthy.”
It’s not obvious If Cattermole’s passing will have an impact on the tour schedule is unknown. According to the initial schedule, the activities would begin on October 13 at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool and then travel to Sheffield, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Cardiff, Nottingham, Dublin, and London.
