According to police, a man from Haltom City is facing multiple offenses following an altercation with a woman in Fort Worth that resulted in his stabbing.
At 11:43 p.m. on Christmas, Fort Worth police were dispatched to The Lofts at West 7th Street Apartments on Crockett Street.
When officers entered the apartment, they discovered Gavin Norris, age 19, suffering an abdominal stab wound.
Norris, according to investigators, was involved in a verbal altercation with a woman. According to police, the woman, fearing for her safety, seized a knife and wounded him after he attempted to assault her.
The woman managed to evacuate the apartment and contact law enforcement.
Hospitalization was required to treat Norris for non-life-threatening injuries.
Unlawful restraint, assault resulting in bodily injury, resisting arrest, and aggravated assault against a public servant are the charges against him.
