Rita Ora showed up on April 27 at The Prince’s Trust Gala in New York wearing a dress that belonged at the altar. The “Praising You” singer looked effortlessly gorgeous in a cone-bra dress by Richard Quinn, which was just off the runway at London Fashion Week’s autumn/winter ’23 show, where several models walked while carrying bridal bouquets.
After marrying Taika Waititi last year, Ora, who was just recently married herself, accessorized the dress with opera gloves and a stunning diamond necklace to complete the bridal ensemble. However, there was another aesthetic at work with Ora’s outfit as well, as the 32-year-old was compared to Madonna.
Famously, the vocalist of “Material Girl” sported a Jean Paul Gaultier corset in 1990 with exaggerated cone-bra cups, and there’s no denying Ora’s creation bares a striking resemblance to the risqué look. Although she isn’t the only one to wear the throwback pointed bustier. Kylie Jenner also recently adopted the cone-bra trend, posting a series of videos on TikTok of her cone-bra ‘fit.
