Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Give $1 Million to Help Kids in Israel and Gaza

Lively and Reynolds have previously donated $1 million to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and another $500,000 to the Indigenous-focused safe water charity Water First Education & Training Inc. In addition, they gave $1 million once the COVID-19 outbreak began, splitting it between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.

As the actors strike drags on, they have recently given $1 million to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation to help artists who are struggling financially.

Body bags and stretchers were among the medical equipment the ICRC delivered to a hospital in Gaza on the day of the Hamas terrorist strikes, October 7. According to their website, they are evaluating the damage to sewage and water treatment systems and trying to find and gain access to the hostages so that they can make contact with their family and receive medical treatment.

As the Israel-Hamas War rages on and the death toll rises, Lively and Reynolds are the first celebrities to publicly donate money to Israel and Gaza. In a statement released on Saturday morning, the Israeli military said it was preparing for the “next stages of the war” against Hamas, which may involve “strikes from the air, sea, and land” and “significant ground operations,” as reported by CNN.

Jennifer Garner, Adam Sandler, Yara Shahidi, Kerry Washington, and Martha Stewart are among the famous people who have spoken out in favor of the innocent victims of the conflict.
