With the recently introduced Galaxy S23 range, big new Galaxy phones from Samsung typically come with a sizable software update. One UI 5.1, which appears like a slight upgrade from the One UI 5 build that other Samsung phones have, is the latest software version for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Nevertheless, there is a long list of improvements you may be interested in if you own an earlier smartphone.
Samsung hasn’t made it clear when additional phones (pre-order specials) beyond the S23 series will have One UI 5.1, but we do know the devices that eventually should (basically the Galaxy S20 and flagships after it).We may not need Samsung to inform us because Canadian carrier Fido has issued a list of the first several handsets expected to receive One UI 5.1 later this month.
The February security patch and One UI 5.1 are expected to be released for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 on February 22. They shared this information earlier today by updating their list.
