We informed that there were seven animals at that location. Five were starving to death. A mother and her pup, that’s all that was left.
The mother chained up, couldn’t protect her cubs or escape from the situation. She’s dying, slowly, and the only person who cared for her until that moment was her own puppy, the only one left. One of the saddest scenes we’ve ever seen happened between them during the rescue.
The puppy constantly tries to lift the mother, who can’t even stand and puts himself in front of her to protect her. We don’t know if she will survive, but he is still by her side. We want to shout to the four winds that this is a crime, that it is inhuman, that this person should be arrested.
We took them to the vet clinic. They were starving almost to death. We give them first some food. They ate voraciously.
The mother dog was very weak and her pup was trying to protect and save her all the time. Look at that love and kindness between them.
The mother dog can stand now but she is very week. We think she couldn’t servive. We named the mother Arizona and the brave puppy Texas.
Three days later and after we did all what we could, our mama Arizona is gone!! We have no words to describe the sadness we feel for your departure and the emptiness you will leave for your pup. He cried from the moment he left her. It hurts too much to see this separation, guys.
On Monday, Texas began a cough board. He has been checked up, and it is suspected that it is pneumonia. He has already started the treatment. But still needs help getting bloodwork, x-ray and staying admitted. Texas has suffered enough, and all we want most for him is a happy ending.
He watched his brothers starve to death, one by one Even hungry, in pain and slowly dying, he chose to stay by his chained mother. And he stayed by her side until she drew her last breath. He is a survivor A warrior. But he’s also just a baby.
He deserves to be part of a family To be happy. To be loved. He’s very smart, has learned how to sit, loves human and other dogs company. He is still admitted and responding well to treatment. We’re very positive for his recovery.
A month later and today Texas is called Chico. Guess what, his new mom give him this charming name. Yes he found his forever home. He got a house that is charming, full of flowers, love, caresses, cuddles, endless hugs and lots of cuddles.
May life be light and happy for you. The future will be different for him, and we’re sure mom Arizona is watching, from wherever she is.
