The duties of announcer C.J. Nitkowski in relation to Texas Rangers games have been terminated.
Nitkowski, who has served as the color commentator for the Rangers on Bally Sports Southwest for the past seven years, has announced he will be leaving the organization to accept a comparable position covering Atlanta Braves games.
The Atlanta region is home to the former MLB pitcher and current broadcaster.
“This dream job came to a close when I witnessed the team I once played for and in which I had invested so heavily win their very first World Series.” “The Texas Rangers are an organization of the highest caliber in every respect,” Nitkowski said in an online statement.
The Texas Rangers have stated that they are currently considering potential replacements for the vacant position.
“I anticipate that decisions will be made in early 2024,” stated John Blake, EVP of Public Affairs for the Rangers.
