One of the honorees at this week’s BetterUp Uplift event in San Francisco, California, was Prince Harry. According to a press release, the Duke of Sussex took the stage with BetterUp CEO Alexi Robichaux on both Tuesday and Wednesday to answer audience questions about everything from what motivates him to how coaching has impacted his life to the value of women in leadership roles. The Duke of Sussex serves as the wellness startup’s chief impact officer and offers professional coaching and mental health advice.
According to People, when asked what motivates him, Harry stated, “Personally, I find that assisting others is quite rewarding. My motivation and what pulls me out of bed every day is to help others. You then have children.” Kids ground you, the duke continued.
According to People, Harry also mentioned to the audience that the Archewell Foundation team and the Invictus Games community also use BetterUp. The fastest way to get mental health advice, according to Harry. Issa Rae, David Chang, Robin Arzón, and more were among the other speakers that were invited.
The father of two made his most recent appearance just days after he and Markle attended Princess Lilibet’s 1-year-old christening at their Montecito, California, home. Both Tyler Perry, Lili’s godfather, and her grandma, Doria Ragland, attended the private event. King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate, who apparently received invitations, did not show up. According to a spokeswoman for the marriage, “Princess Lilibet Diana was baptized on Friday, 3 March, by the Rev. John Taylor, the Archbishop of Los Angeles.”
Also, it was the first time Harry and Markle had referred to their daughter in public as a princess until the official declaration. When their grandpa, King Charles III, ascended to the throne in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September 2022, she and her 3-year-old brother Archie were given the regal titles of princess and prince. The coronation of Charles is scheduled for May 6 at Westminster Abbey. Although they have been invited, it is unknown whether Harry and Markle will show.
