Courteney Cox acknowledges the affection. The 58-year-old was recognized on Monday with a star of her very own on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her accomplishments in the entertainment industry over the previous 39 years as an actor, producer, and director. Together with her spouse Johnny McDaid, daughter Coco Arquette, and friends Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Laura Dern, Cox was joined by her loved ones.
Cox’s “Friends” co-stars Aniston and Kudrow appeared on stage at the ceremony to congratulate their pal. Aniston started, “Courteney is in charge of everything, and being friends with her is like being family. She was right away kind, friendly, loving, and interested in everything about you when we first met her.”
Kudrow then cited Cox as having been instrumental in forging “one of the closest, most loving, and supporting casts in the history of television,” referring to their time on “Friends.”
The two then reminisced about some of Cox’s favorite moments throughout the years before expressing their love and pride for Cox in an emotional exchange. Kudrow praised the actress, saying, “You are the epitome of a very beautiful, talented, and most importantly, a truly kind and moral human being.Dern also called Cox the “most extraordinary person possible,” saying in part, “Courteney is truly the embodiment of a shining star. She has thrilled fans for decades with iconic characters that made her a household name and have woven her into the fabric of American culture.”
Dern continued: “I don’t know where to begin in terms of all the areas of my life where Courteney Cox has entertained me, guided me, led me, or just made life unbelievably better . . . Courteney isn’t just an amazing actor with outrageously genius comedic timing, but she has the rarest trait of an actor and as a friend: someone who has to tell the truth. The truth comes through her in all her magnificent work as we’ve seen.”
