The Los Angeles Clippers can sigh with ease knowing that top player Paul George won’t be out for the rest of the 2022–23 campaign.
George sprained his right knee and will have another evaluation in two to three weeks. If all goes well, he might be able to play for Los Angeles in the postseason.
This is good news for the Clippers with all things considered, and it hasn’t moved the team’s odds to win the NBA Finals this season.
The Clippers still sit at +1300 to win the NBA Finals, and they should be able to get into the postseason in the West even without George for the rest of the regular season.
Los Angeles currently holds the No. 5 seed in the West and has a 2.5 game cushion on the No. 11 seed Los Angeles Lakers. Even if the Clippers fall into the play-in tournament picture, they could make their way out with Kawhi Leonard and George’s potential return.
