Stephon Gilmore, the starting cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, anticipates playing on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers despite suffering a shoulder injury in the season-ending contest.
Since suffering a shoulder dislocation against the Washington Commanders in Week 18, Gilmore has been sidelined from all practices.
Wednesday, the seasoned cornerback confirmed to the media that he would be present on the field.
“We are currently confronted with a tremendous opportunity and are striving to maximize its potential, given the arduous journey that has led us to this point. Therefore, everyone will be required,” Gilmore explained.
The Dallas Cowboys have requested that their supporters “white out” during their playoff match against the Green Bay Packers.
It was inquired whether the defensive back would be required to utilize a harness for shoulder support throughout the contest.
“Perhaps,” he responded.
He claims to have previously utilized a harness on the field and simply desires the freedom to be himself.
“A lot of guys have a lot of things throughout the season they have to play through,” according to him. “It’s merely something else for myself.” This year, I’ve played through quite a bit. “Make it work or else it comes with the territory; you must be prepared to deal with it.”
