Wednesday marked the return of the Dallas Cowboys to practice in preparation for Sunday’s contest in Washington.
Tyler Smith, a left guard, was unable to participate in practice due to his ongoing foot injury.
However, starting defensive tackle Jonathan Hankins’s practice time was limited following a three-game absence due to a high ankle sprain.
A victory for the Cowboys on Sunday would put them in contention to capture the NFC East.
Despite holding a meager four victories thus far this season, the Cowboys bear recollection of their final-game defeat in Washington last year.
Mike McCarthy, the Eagles’ head coach, stated that last weekend’s loss to the Cardinals ought to serve as sufficient motivation to ensure the team attends to its business.
“We were in this same position last year going to Washington for the last game and both teams were… you know, the records are what they are, but we have a lot to play for. And it’s important for us to make sure that we go down there and win this game and do it the right way,” he said. “You know in a lot of ways the playoffs, everybody has been fighting these last couple of weeks and the games have been incredible. I think we’re definitely lined up for another great Sunday.”
